"How much will it cost?" is the first question most clients ask us, and the honest answer is: it depends on what you need. That is not a dodge. Two projects that sound alike can differ a lot in effort. These are the factors that decide the price.
1. Scope and number of features
Every screen, report, user role and workflow adds design, development and testing time. A tool with five clear features costs far less than a platform with fifty. The best way to control cost is to list your must-haves and launch with those first.
2. Design and user experience
A simple, clean interface is quicker to build than custom branding with animations and many page layouts. Tell us whether the users are your own staff or the public, because that changes how much design polish is worth paying for.
3. Integrations
Connecting to payment gateways, accounting software, SMS or WhatsApp providers, or an older system adds work, especially when the other system has poor documentation. List every tool your software must talk to.
4. Platforms
A web application, an Android app and an iOS app are different pieces of work. Starting with one platform, or with a mobile-friendly web app, is often the smartest first step.
5. Security, scale and compliance
Handling payments, personal data or thousands of simultaneous users calls for more careful engineering and testing. This is not the place to cut corners.
6. Support after launch
Software needs hosting, updates, backups and bug fixes. Ask every vendor what is included and what is charged separately, so there are no surprises later.
How to get a quote you can compare
Write down the problem you want to solve, not only the features.
Share examples of tools you like.
Ask for a breakdown by phase or feature, not one lump sum.
Ask what is excluded: hosting, content, third-party licences, support.
Start with a small first release and add features based on real usage.
